I started this post over a year ago and never finished it. I have come back to it often and not added more but kept it in the back of a file hoping to someday share it with you.
Not all of this is original thought from me and is probably stuff others, more articulate have shared. I just know it is a word from the Lord for you.

Often over the years of my life I have heard that still small voice telling me someone needs prayer.
Years ago in my stupidity, I would ask to be shown what was going on because I just did not know or understand how this knowledge worked.
Now I know to pray and not worry about understanding everything.
Here are some more things I am praying about and feeling that still, small, voice prompting me to tell you about.
Many of us have chosen to commit ourselves to sowing the seed of the Word of God.
Some have sacrificed much, but I think not as much as we will sacrifice before we have completed the job for the Lord.
Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. For whosoever ill save his life shall lose it but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's the same shall save it.
Paul, in a letter to a young minister named Timothy, warned,
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.
It is the latter times! Be warned.
the love of may will wax cold
and
some will depart from the faith.
Do not be one of those who do.
Fight the good fight of faith.
Are you willing to go all the way? Jesus warned of that.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Paul warned that in the last days there will come perilous times in which those who are
godly will suffer persecution.
Mathew recorded Jesus warning that
a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
We can see this happening every day.
Please pay SPECIAL attention to Jesus' words concerning the last days:
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
We are at that point where Bible believing Christian are hated by the nations, the United Nations, for nearly every nation has signed on to the Universal Child Protection bill which makes it a crime to teach children the percepts of the Bible. They can teach the Koran or Buddhist and Hindu literature to their children. They can even teach their children to hate Christians and Jews, but it is a crime for us to teach children the Bible. Thankfully, at this time our government preoccupied with the financial crises and with terrorism to have the resources to enforce their social agenda.
And then shall many be offended and shall betray on another and shall hate one another.
That means professing Christians will betray one another because they are offended by the old historical beliefs. They refer to us as fundamentalists, fanatics. They say we are hateful and a menace to the New World Order.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
There are more false prophets in America then true prophets of God. Just turn on the TV and look at the parade of reprobates conning gullible believers out of their money. The Emergent Church movement has produced cold hearts with its reinterpretation of The Christ Spirit.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Many are being deceived, but some are growing stronger and more resolute, With God's grace we shall endure unto the end of this great apostasy, and not just survive, we will do as Jesus commanded:
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.
We are engaged in the colossal task of preaching the gospel to the whole world. The end will soon come, and will we be found faithful stewards of the precious message of repentance and forgiveness?
If you are willing to give your life for the sake of the gospel, you will suffer persecution like the America's have not seen for more then 300 years. your Christian friends and even your family members will betray you to the authorities. John recorded a voice from heaven saying,
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you , having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hat but a short time.
Our enemy is not the United States gobernment, though it is hostile to the Christian family. Neither is it our enemy the Muslim extremists who have sword to kill us, nor the fellow Christians who will betray us to our enemies. Our enemy is none other then the Devil himself!
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Paul told the Ephesians how to be ready for and WIN the battle with the Devil!
Wherefore take unto you the whole amour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefor
So having done all to stand, then STAND. It is one thing to put on the armor, train for battle, and be prepared to stand. It is quite another thing to stand, stand, and keep on standing. This will not be one short battle. It is a war with the Devil for the minds of men. We do not go to battle with guns and grenades. We go with a sword, the sword of the Word of God.
Wich is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the hearts of men
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of the strong holds.
We will and must pull down the strongholds of Satan by praying and preaching the WORD of GOD.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
If we leave the devil alone, he will leave us alone but if we go into his territory with the gospel of truth he will come after us. As long a we stand IN FAITH we have nothing to fear.
