friend fred shared on another page He was referring to the Indian Arms Act of 1878 (which was amended several times over the ensuing decades). This Act was, in practice, a total gun ban enacted to protect the British realm from an insurgency. By banning firearm possession for all but those authorized by the Realm they were able to all but do away with both military and private arms as almost no one was ever authorized.

Mr. Gandhi, as you correctly state, was a lifelong pacifist. But, he understood that in the extreme a society needs to have the capability to defend itself from invasion and oppressive governance. This is not contradictory. It's merely an acknowledgment of the existence of extremes. I have in person heard the Dali Lama (another life long pacifist) state the same thing. In short, pacifists are not entirely blind to the possibility of a need to defend oneself from extraordinary violence. However, they do believe that in most cases where one man would choose to take up arms passive resistance would be the superior choice. In India that proved to be true. In the Germany of the 1940's it wasn't. However, one of the first things that Hitler did was ban all the guns.

The closer TT, LJ and I came to kicking this blog into a RIGHT WING, Constitutionally CORRECT account of what is going on in our country the more walls we encountered.

COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !!Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,

What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

VOTE PEOPLE! It is time.

I voted and sent back my ballot the day I received it in the mail.
I then HOUNDED my family to vote too till the stamps were on the closed sealed ballot envelopes.

I did not force them to vote for any person or any mesure but to just VOTE.

It does not make your vote un countable to just vote for one office or one mesure.
You just want to make sure and take your time to vote and educate yourself on the mesures and cadidates you are voting for.  Be informed, educated and dicerning.

When you read the voters pamphlet make sure and read who worked on the for and against arguments in it.
You can then follow the money trail and make a more complete and competent decision.

 

One vote can make a difference even if it is only for the local dogcatcher position.

We were unable to access our page.
Truth be told we shared raw video of someone being tortured and possible killed during the demonstrations in Libya.
It was posted and reported all over the world and we posted it from four different providers to let you decide if it was real or not.
We also posted video

o of the man who made the film that supposedly started the riots being taken into police custody for probation violation.
FB also took these down.
Then there was links to video of a few of the Obuma statements and screw ups regarding all the demonstrations/riots/war on America.
EVEN the post of THIS IS WAR ON AMERICA linked to video of the consulate burning was removed.

If you want to have free speech here in the USA any longer then you need to stand up for it and practice it every day.
Do not worry about being politically correct.
Do not worry about being offensive.
PUSH THE WALLS DOWN that the powers that be are building while America sleeps.

Do you think that a local police department should have a way for crimes to be reported anonymously?

Do you think that if someone requests to remain anonymous that the dispatchers should be allowed to harass them into making a report to them even if the person is requesting to speak to an officer?  Especially when calling the NONE EMERGENCY LINE.

Do you think the dispatcher should be allowed to say "I can see where you are calling from on the caller ID so you might as well tell me who you are!"?

Do you think that a police officer should then be allowed to scold you when he does call you back 10 hours later, because you repeatedly asked to speak to an officer instead of to a dispatcher who would of put your name over the radio for all your neighbors to hear you called the police?

Call your local police department.  NON EMERGENCY LINE
NOT 9 1 1!!!!
Ask them how you are to report a crime tip anonymously?
Write it down and share it with your neighbors.
Did you know in some counties they do not even want you to call 9 1 1 to report a drunk driver?
They want you to call the police non emergency line.

In my county they have no way for you to do that.

In my county they police tell people who called on them and you are more likely to have the person you called the police on show up at your door then you are the officer.

I am not just talking from personal experience.  This has happened to me and others I know right here in the county.
Don't get me wrong we have a great sheriff and some good deputies but this continues through the last three sheriffs.

Recently I and a friend saw a group of kids (17 to 19 year olds) we know walking around town with a bucket and a gas can.
We could casually identify two of them and swear it was that person in court.  Three we could not.
We did not think much of it till the next day as we heard of gas tanks being punctured over the last few weeks.
She tried to report it with out giving our names as we feared retaliation from the local family.
The dispatcher would not let it rest and let us speak to an officer.
This is how she had been told in the past to be able to report a crime and keep her name out of it.
Many hours later she received a call back and was scolded by the officer for not giving the details to dispatch.
The officer said well allot of good this does us we have had no crimes of gas siphoning going on in the county.
She then told the officer that the local power plant and a local teacher had both reported such crimes in the last three weeks.
He sure backtracked fast but still made her out to be the bad guy here.
We could of identified those people and they probably would of been caught last night as I saw them again out with the same implements.
But because of not being able to keep our names out of it we choose to say we could not identify them.
Was it wrong?  YES
Was it prudent to our safety?  YES
Can you say you would of done differently?

Just a reminder.

A friend that is dieing of cancer started an event inviting all of his friends to join.

He is posting adventures and being out and about with his wife and kids. 
He is also inviting friends and family on facebook to be part of these little last adventures.
Nothing that cost much.  Most of it is just an investment of time.

Out of 40+ family members none have even joined the event.
Out of over 300 friends that he actually has known in his life 6 are following the event.

Are they all  in denial or just do not care.

Another friend was pestered out of her mind to make a event page celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary.
They were even asked to open a gift account at the local bank to allow those who wished to contribute to a gift were able.
I guess she made it because I just found it today.  She invited me to join it weeks ago.

So far there are 4 people out of 80 who have responded.  Only one is family.

Her husband actually said why bother.  No one came to our wedding.

They are the kind of people who love everyone and work in and around their community within all different groups and dynamics.

The kind of people who are always reaching out to others in their time of need but will be ignored because they appear so self reliant even if the whole community knows they are in need of help or support.

So I ask you. 
How do you reach out to others and celebrate life with them?
Is it important to let others know they are loved?
Are we not to treat each other as we ourselves want to be treated?
Are we not to love each other as Christ has loved us?

Recently while working on a volunteer project with a small group of people from my area I learned some very important things about the lead candidate running for County Commissioner in my district.

The Candidate had great ideas.
At the end of each meeting we would take our list of ideas and ask for volunteers to make them happen before we met again a week later.
The Candidate always volunteered to take on one or two tasks. 
Not once over the 3 months of planning did  the candidate complete even ONE of the items he set out to do.
Two others on the volunteer committee every single time had to pick up and finish his work.

The committe later found out that The Candidate had been trying to sabotage everything they were doing.

Just before the event the two others found out he was taking credit for everything and even a few things that did not happen.

During the event he repeatedly tried to cancle the event after the event had started.  Even going as far as fibbing or out right lying and saying he had talked to others naming them and had reached a consensus that we should cancel.
He seemed to think that he was solely in charge and could make unilateral decisions. In doing so he made it okay for people to not finish the event and still be eligible for the grand prize. 

He had even convinced the coast guard axillary that he was in charge and park personnel where day two of the event started that he was in charge and they then tried to force us to cancel the last day of a two day event.

Sadly this goes on everywhere.
In a small town or county it is very hard to speak of these truths without someone beating up your kid or starting your house on fire.

You can not even tell others about it without worrying that it will come back and bite you in the butt.

How would you handle such a thing?

I was speaking to a friend today and she was telling me about her neighbor who keeps calling the police every time her husband plays his guitar during the day.

It became such a PEST that the Sheriff himself came to the complainers house with a decibel meter and showed the complainer that everything was legal during the day for night time hours too.

The Sheriff told him to stop calling the police for this.

This man that is running for county commissioner is advocating for property rights and fighting with a large group of people to keep the rights to their river front land.  He appears to be doing a good job there but as we have seen locally on other events he is lacking skills and has not completed one task he volunteered for.

I can not endorse this man for dog catcher let alone for a county commissioner.

It is no wonder there is no compassion, consideration and empathy in the world.

Ride the local public school bus then take a peek into the lives of those kids.

Even if they are good kids from Christian homes being raised by parents who care often their parents treat people the same way the kid does at school.

I witnessed it and was the main receiver of it this weekend.

Ever been invited to an event and asked not to tell anyone you are coming?

I have.

I thought it unusual at the time but the host said she did not want to be harassed by others who wanted to attend and had no room for them because of the limited amount of room.
The host actually said it is already full.

I then wondered if I was a replacement.
Ever been one of those?
Invited to make things even and because they have already expended money for a number of spots.

Nothing really wrong with it, and my dear friend has had it turn out nicely in the past and now is part of putting on her favorite event year after year.

I spent a couple of weeks looking forward to the event and as the day to leave rolled around started to dread it but put my thoughts aside and prayed for God's will in it all.

I showed up at the event 5 minutes early and was greeted with a smiling face of a friend of a friend.  Found out the host was not there and there were no room assignments so I picked my favorite spot having stayed a few times at the location. 

Others started to arrive and I greeted them and helped them with their bags offering spots in the room I was in.  I heard a murmured words of, "If I had known she was coming I would not of."
I thought  Me? and gave it up to the Lord.
I never have fit in anywhere even in my own family.  My brain makes connections faster then most people and it seems to bring out the worst in others.  I never played the clique games in High School and I refuse to play them at church or in society of the rural area I live in.

Then the host arrived and we all pitched in to help her.

More people arrived and we again helped them to bring their stuff in and I offered accommodations in the room I was in.
At this point I was still the only person in my room and it appeared everyone was there.
Around dinner two other ladies arrived and the other rooms being full or near full found spots in the room I was in.

While at the retreat during public conversations we were all listening to and thought to be included in a woman was explaining some problems she was having.  When she finished I asked for clarification on two things she said.  I thought about it a few minutes and then asked her if she in telling us about the problem was looking for suggestions or solutions to her issue.
She gave me the vilest look I have ever seen and said "I did not realize you were part of the conversation! Maybe you should mind your own business!"
I with tears burning at the edge of my eyes said "Not a problem." and left the room for a while.
My family says you can read what I am thinking on my face so I am sure she was happy with the reaction I gave.

While I was in the other room everyone else went outside.
People started to come back in to retrieve items.  They must not of realized I could hear them or that I was even there.  I heard them speak of me by name and how random I was and how a conversation can be discussed on a topic and I will just interject and change it.  How I am flighty, rude, and pushy religious nut.  How my mother did not raise me properly because leggings are not pants.  I was wearing and often do wear nice pants that are called leggings. They are a nice thick legging or what some might call a riding pant.

I just sat there trying to ignore them and read.   But when your named the subject of the conversation it is hard to not listen.

I so wanted to go home.

When it was meal time I would ask for something to be passed to me and two of the women would look at each other and roll their eyes.  One actually saying "Don't you think you have had enough!"
It was not a question.

I had not even had firsts of the item I asked for but because I am obese I feel I have to justify the request even here.

Would you have just gone home by now?

I tried to maintain a positive attitude and actually had friends and family elsewhere praying for me.

During another conversation time when we were all talking and included.  I shared some amazing wonderful things about our hostess.
She came in my room and sat on my bed and accused me of being random.
Not really sure what she means.
But I am assuming it is a veiled burn or maybe my brain just makes the connections and leaps to other topics so fast that others can not keep up and feel put upon by my randomness.
I asked if I had done something wrong.
She said know your just so random.

I was so lost at this point.

Most of craft and free time was spent across the room with the windows open because of the perfumes, and scents in products.
Some offered to include me in it but when I explained I could not others gave me the venom looks that you know stop every demon in hell and make them smile.

During a free time when dinner was going to be prepared I wondered off by myself and was laying in the front of the chapel drawing and reading.

People actually came in an looked at the chapel and had conversations not knowing I was there.Sadly I was the topic of some not so nice thoughts.
I refuse to list them here again because I could not hardly get through it to tell my family.

I then moved to another area to see what everyone was doing and could not find a soul so I went to a common area and sat till called for dinner.
Everyone was mad because I was late but yet when I showed them the time I was going buy I was early.  Sorry mine is set to the atomic clock every 24 hours.
I received a snide remark.  "You always have to be right or have the last word."

*sigh*

I went to bed right after dinner and put my head phones in so I would not have to hear anything.  I did have a long conversation via facebook with family members at home, mom, brothers and a friend I have not chatted with in 3 years while laying there in bed.

The next morning I got ready for the day and it was pack up day so I packed all my things up so I was not in the way when it was time to clean the room before we left.
I walked out and most people were up but as always all weekend there was not room at the table for everyone and none was made for me as it was for others.
No worries.  I pulled as close as I could and tried to be part of the group.

They again had long conversations about their educations, careers and professional lives.
I did not talk much about that or even listen because I have been there and done that and it is not all it seems.
But when the nurses of many different backgrounds started talking about helping on cases where people are forced to be sterilized by court order and being for it.  They also talked about since the baby is probably dying or going to be a drain on society it is okay to take its life in the sterilization of its mother.
 I could not take it any more.

This is a group of Christian women?  At a Christian camp at a Christian Womens Retreat?

I stated in a very firm voice that broke with emotion  "WOW!  Welcome to Nazi Germany.

I showed them through history fact that this is exactly what happened in Hitlers Germany right after he was elected.  The retarded, disabled, alcoholics, gypsy's any undesirable was forced to be sterilized.
AND HITLER WAS ELECTED!

We can not play god.  When we do with the drug addict mom  who keeps getting pregnant it is wrong.
Sterilization has to be a choice.  If we force by court order and take away someone else's right to choose then do not blink and wonder whey the government comes along and takes away your right to choose what is best for you.

I AM NOT SAYING abortion is right or should be legal.  I am against abortion.

I honestly wonder if there is something wrong with me or if my walk with the Lord has just progressed father then I thought.
I mean I actually questioned could I of misread the bible.  I think not now but wow!

I am not sure I will ever recover from this retreat.
I know I have fewer friends or people that will talk to me on the street now too.

I stand for what is biblically and constitutionally right.

I CHALLENGE YOU  to call me out any time you see me NOT doing just that.

WHAT DO I DO NOW??

SEVEN DAYS AGO a bill was introduced to congress and the senate to remove the man in the white house from his thrown.

I see allot of you complaining about HIM, our senate and congressional leaders but when it comes time to act (EITHER WAY) you sit on your butts staring at facebook.

A relative who is a very big wig in a big big church messages me obviously IRATE, "Why wont you accept our relationship status on facebook?"
I reply, We are not even friends on facebook. Why would you want to claim me as a relative on facebook when you have not acknowledge me in life in 25 years since I started dating that biker?

He messages back "Well how are you? How many kids do you have? How long have you been married? Who did you marry? Do I know him? "

I messaged him back, I am super, saved, no longer a member of your church but walking with the Lord. I have two kids and have been married 25 years to that biker. You told me to dump or be excommunicated."

He replied back to me. "Your right. Never mind."

I replied, "I do not mind at all. That was the point 25 years ago and apparently the point today. Take that how you want it. Know I forgave you but choose to not be part of the life you choose for me. I have moved on. I hope you will find your way and see that just because someone is not worthy to you does not mean they are not worthy to the Lord....or me."

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED - WHAT THE MUSLIM MEN DID ON AIRTRAN FLIGHT 297 - ATLANTA TO HOUSTON - FOX REPORTED IT, NONE OF THE LIBERAL MEDIA DID.

THE STORY

 Thank God for people like Tedd Petruna.

I, Gene Hackemack, received this email from my good friend Tedd Petruna. He is, a diver at the NBL (Neutral Buoyancy Lab) facility at NASA Houston. I used to work with Tedd who happened to be on the AirTran Flight 297, from Atlanta to Houston.

"One week ago, I went to Ohio on business and to see my father. On Tuesday, the 17th, I returned home. If you read the papers the 18th you may have seen a blurb about where an Air Tran flight was canceled from Atlanta to Houston due to a man who refused to get off of his cell phone before take- off. The story was only on Fox News. That was NOT what really happened.

I was seated in 1st class coming home. Eleven Muslim men got on the plane in full Muslim attire. Two of them sat in 1st class and the rest seated themselves throughout the plane, in coach class, all the way to the back. As the plane taxied out to the runway, the stewardesses gave the safety spiel that we are all so familiar with.

At that time, one of the men, in 1st class, got on his cell and called one of his companions back in coach. He proceeded to talk on the phone in Arabic very loudly and very, very aggressively. This activity took the 1st stewardess out of action for she repeatedly told the man that cell phones were not permitted at that time. He ignored her as if she were not there. The man, who answered the phone back in the coach section, did the same and this took out the 2nd stewardess. Further back in the plane, at the same time, two younger Muslims, one in the back on the aisle, and one sitting in front of him by the window, began to show footage of a porno video they had taped the night before. They were very loud about it.

Now, Muslim men are only permitted to view porno women prior to Jihad. If a Muslim man goes into a strip club, he has to view the woman via mirror with his back to her. (Don't ask me, I don't make the rules, but I've studied Muslims.)

The 3rd stewardess informed the two men that they were not to have electronic devices on at this time.

One of the men said "shut up infidel dog!"

The stewardess attempted to take the camcorder and the Muslim began to scream in her face in Arabic. At that exact moment, all eleven of the men got up and started to walk throughout the cabin. I guess that because of the noise, the flight crew must have decided that there was something amiss and changed the plane's directions to head back to the terminal.

The commotion and noise was reaching a feverish pitch, and at this point I had had enough! I got up and started towards the back of 1st class, when I heard a voice behind me, from another Texan twice my size, say "I got your back." Then I grabbed the man, who had been on the cell phone, by the arm and said "You WILL sit down in your seat or you WILL be thrown from this plane!" As I "led" him around me to take his seat, the fellow Texan grabbed him by the back of his neck and his waist and headed him back to his seat. I then grabbed the 2nd man and said, "You WILL do the same!"

He protested loudly, but my adrenaline was flowing now and he was going to go also. Just as I escorted him forward, the plane stopped, the doors opened and three TSA agents and four police officers entered the cabin. Myself and my new Texas friend were told to cease and desist for they had the situation under control.

I was quite happy to oblige actually. There was still some sort of commotion in the back, but within moments, all eleven Muslim men were escorted off the plane. The TSA agents then had their luggage unloaded. We talked about the occurrence and were in disbelief that it had happened.

Then suddenly, the door opened again and in walked all eleven Muslim men! Stone faced, eyes front and robotic, (the only way I can describe it) they were reseated. The stewardess from the back had been in tears and when she saw the men, she was having NONE of it! Since I was up front, I heard and saw the whole ordeal. She told the TSA agents that there was NO WAY she was staying on the plane with the Muslim men. The agent told her that they had searched the men and were going through their luggage with a fine tooth comb. However, nothing had been found and that the men were allowed to proceed on to Houston.

The captain and co-captain came out of the cockpit and told the agent, "We and our crew will not fly this plane!" After a word or two, the entire crew, luggage in tow, left the plane. Five minutes later, the cabin door opened again and a whole new crew walked on. Again, this was where I had had enough! I got up and asked the TSA agent, "What the hell is going on?

I was told to take my seat. The airlines and TSA were sorry for the delay and we would be home shortly. I said "I'm getting off this plane". The stewardess sternly told me that she could not allow me to get off. Now I'm really mad! I said "I am a grown man who bought this ticket, who's time is mine with a family at home and I am going through that door, or I'm going through that door with you under my arm, but I AM going through that door!"

And then I heard a voice behind me say "So am I!" Then everyone behind us started to get up and say the same thing. Within two minutes, I was walking off that plane where I was met by more TSA agents who asked me to write a statement about the incident. I had five hours to kill at this point waiting for the next flight to Houston, so why the hell not give them my statement. Due to the amount of people who got off that flight, it was canceled. I was supposed to be in Houston at 6 PM, but I finally got there at 12:30 AM. If you don't believe this, look up the date and then Flight 297 from Atlanta to Houston.

If this wasn't a terrorism dry run, I don't know what one is. The terrorists wanted to see how TSA would handle it, how the crew would handle it, and how the passengers would handle it. I'm telling this to you because I want you to know. The threat IS real. I saw it with my own eyes."

This has been refuted by the airline and many news agencies.

I would like to put the call out for the people that were aboard this flight and the key here is ON THE PASSENGER MANAFEST to come forward and tell what happened.  I have a copy of the manifest in my hot little hands.

My thoughts on Whitney Houston....She was obviously a "blessing" of some sort to many people or at least they think she was. 
Her life so "blessed" with talent and money but  yet she chose to ruin it with  drugs and abusive relationships.

I am also deleting many of my friends who are so torn up over this but yet will not speak out against atrocities against Christians or the Constitution.

Dear HHC,

I would like a little advice and prayer.

Earlier this week I received an email from an old foul weather friend...  She only speaks to me or writes when she wants something.

She needed letters of recommendation to apply for a job with a economic development commission where she lives now.

I had my qualms on this...See over a year and a half ago I thought I saw her duplicating receipts and getting reimbursed for the same items from two different community entities she was in charge of in our area.
Sadly I had the feeling she was also charging back for reimbursement for the same items to four other committees and organizations she worked with.
I gave it up as me thinking I was seeing the worst going on.

So I came back to the present

Later that same day while at one of the committee meetings she use to run I heard she had asked many others to send letters of recommendation too.  All of them saying they ignored it.
One of that same committee states "I was going through receipts this former member had turned in for reimbursement and we never received any of the items we paid for. It added up to just over $500.00 in goods. 

I have been doing some checking with the different entities and it now shows that she was repeatedly reimbursed for the same items from all the committees she was on.

If it is the way it looks and if she did this to all the committees it is over $3,500.00 in fraud.
Not much by some standards but enough that people should know she can not be trusted.

We are a very small rural community and just sending this letter to one person everyone would know who sent it and how it is about.
There is no anonymous reports to the Sheriffs department.
This would absolutely ruin the local committees that she was part of.
They wanted it all to fail from the beginning.

So here I go keeping my mouth shut and letting the Lord deal with it.

Judy Wallman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California , was doing some personal work on her own family tree. She discovered that Congressman Harry Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.

The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory:

On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: 'Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'

So Judy recently e-mailed Congressman Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle.

Believe it or not, Harry Reid's staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research:

"Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory . His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed."

I think it is time to start a NATIONAL FINGER POINTING CAMPAIGN!

Everywhere he goes, Everthing he does. DICKtayter O'bumer should be met with fingers pointing at him and even shaking in that way that our dear old Granny's did when we were bad.

He has one more year to try to make up for all the bad ones.

The Tayter needs to know that no matter where he goes and what he does WE THE PEOPLE SEE IT ALL.
He needs to know he will not get away with anything.

So... POINT THEM,  SHAKE THEM WITH A BIG SHAME ON YOU.  No matter where he goes or who he sees.  Make sure the Tayter sees those fingers.

I was bullied and beat on as a kid. 

It just made me want to get even. 
It also made me smarter then them.

It made me think faster then them.
 

You know what?
 I got even. Over and over again. I got even.
Every time. 

The ones that did not learn to leave me alone are no longer allowed in my life.  

Including family.

Please allow me to vent. I have had it. I've taken all I can stand and I can't stand no more. Every time my TV is on, all that can be seen is effeminate men prancing about, redecorating houses and talking about foreign concepts like "style" and "feng shui." Heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, transsexual, metrosexual, non-sexual; blue, green, and purple-sexual - bogus definitions have taken over the urban and suburban world!

A Retrosexual is allowed to seek professional help for major mental stress such as drug/alcohol addiction, death of your entire family in a freak treechipper accident, favorite sports team being moved to a different city, favorite bird dog expiring, etc. You are NOT allowed to see a shrink because Daddy didn't pay you enough attention. Daddy was busy DEALING WITH IT. When you screwed up, he DEALT with you.

A Retrosexual will have at least one outfit in his wardrobe designed to conceal himself from prey.

A Retrosexual knows how to tie a Windsor knot when wearing a tie -- and ONLY a Windsor knot.

A Retrosexual should have at least one good wound he can brag about getting.

A Retrosexual knows how to use a basic set of tools. If you can't hammer a nail, or drill a straight hole, practice in secret until you can -- or be rightfully ridiculed for the wuss you be.

A Retrosexual knows that owning a gun is not a sign that your are riddled with fear, guns are TOOLS and are often essential to DEAL WITH IT. Plus it's just plain fun to fire one off in the direction of those people or things that just need a little "wakin' up".

Crying. There are very few reason that a Retrosexual may cry, and none of them have to do with TV commercials, movies, or soap operas. Sports teams are sometimes a reason to cry, but the preferred method of release is swearing or throwing the remote control. Some reasons a Retrosexual can cry include (but are not limited to) death of a loved one, death of a pet (fish do NOT count as pets in this case), loss of a major body part, or loss of major body part on your Ford truck.

When a Retrosexual is on a crowded bus and or a commuter train, and a pregnant woman, heck, any woman gets on, that retrosexual stands up and offers his seat to that woman, then looks around at the other so-called men still in their seats with a disgusted "you punks" look on his face.

A Retrosexual knows how to say the Pledge properly, and with the correct emphasis and pronunciation. He also knows the words to the Star Spangled Banner

A Retrosexual will have hobbies and habits his wife and mother do not understand, but that are essential to his manliness, in that they offset the acceptable manliness decline he suffers when married/engaged or in a serious healthy relationship - i.e., hunting, boxing, shot putting, shooting, cigars, car maintenance.

A Retrosexual knows how to sharpen his own knives and kitchen utensils.

A Retrosexual man can drive in snow (hell, a blizzard) without sliding all over or driving under 20mph, without anxiety, and without high-centering his ride in a snow bank.

A Retrosexual man can chop down a tree and make it land where he wants. Wherever it lands is where he damn well wanted it to land. Except on his truck--that would happen because of a "force of nature", and then the retrosexual man's options are to Cry, or to DEAL with IT, or do both.

A Retrosexual will give up his seat on a bus to not only any women but any elderly person or person in military dress (except 2nd Lt's) NOTE: The person in military dress may turn down the offer but the Retrosexual man will ALWAYS make the offer to them and thank them for serving their country.

A Retrosexual man doesn't need a contract -- a handshake is good enough. He will always stand by his word even if circumstances change or the other person deceived him.

A Retrosexual man doesn't immediately look to sue someone when he does something stupid and hurts himself. We understand that sometimes in the process of doing things we get hurt and we just DEAL WITH IT !
