I do not understand what is the unethical part.

Can you imagine this petition below circulating?

Stop Selling Reindeer Meat at Ikea!
Ikea stores in the UK are selling reindeer meat in the lead up to Christmas. They are herded with snowmobiles, helicopters and motorcycles sometimes over 1000km to the slaughter houses in which they will be killed. Up to 70 percent of the reindeers slaughtered are less than one year old. Please tell Ikea that you won't stand for this cruel meat and to pull it from their stores!
If you can please also take time to send emails, call or write a letter to them

That is their spelling of the plural of reindeer.  NOT MINE

I found the animals are FARM RAISED or wild herds that need to be culled so that they do not starve during the winter.

My friends say it is unethical to butcher at such a young age and use vehicles.

I am trying to not offend but you know rabbits are less then 9 weeks old usually when you butche. Sheep around 6 months, pigs around 8 months. Chickens just a few months old unless you are keeping them for eggs.
The idea is to not have to buy feed it over the winter and to feed your self instead.

But the farming of herd animals on larger tracts of land is being done buy helicopter, motorcycle and snowmobile weather it is, deer, elk, goats or cattle.
Not many people can afford to keep and train horses for heading because of the amount of time having to spend on training the animal and rider.
So I guess I do not understand what is the unethical part of this and need to be educated with the same consideration and compassion I am trying to convey.
I GUESS SOMEONE NEEDS TO EDUCATE ME.
